Orlando Holiday Events

If you and your family are looking to make the holidays even more magical, you’re in luck. Orlando is bursting with seasonal events this month, and there’s something for everyone. There’s ice skating, dance parties, fireworks shows ... and did we mention Santa is coming to town? Here are our picks for making memories this December. Skate at Winter Park Winter has come to Orlando once again. The ice rink in Central Park West Meadow will be open daily for skaters until Jan. 7. Whether you’re an old pro looking to show off some spins or

just want to see what this whole “ice” thing is all about, you shouldn’t pass up this chance to experience a true winter wonderland in Florida. Admission is $13. Group discounts are available. Santa’s Wonderland Apparently, Old Saint Nick likes to fish, because he’s making the long trip from the North Pole to visit Bass Pro Shops in the Orlando area. He’ll be visiting from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. every weeknight and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends until Dec. 23. Of course, he’s making himself available for free photos and has brought some elves along to keep kids entertained with arts and crafts while

they wait. Don’t miss this opportunity to let your kids meet Santa himself and get a keepsake that will last a lifetime! IllumiNations New Year’s Party Epcot is a magical place any time of year, but the folks at Disney really pull out all the stops for New Year’s. The World Showcase is made into one giant dance party, featuring DJs and live music performances. A host of great cultural cuisine is available all night long, and the event culminates in a spectacular fireworks show that “celebrates the spirit of humanity.”
