Russell welcomes Santa Claus

At the Russell parade, last sunday, Santa Claus made his annual appearance in Rus- sell. Both Santa and Mrs. Claus said they ap- preciate Russell parade organizers holding the event in November as things are getting pretty busy at the North Pole. The parade is organized evey year by the spouses of the Russell firefighters. After the parade, children warmed up in the arena, had photos with Santa, and enjoyed hot chocolate. The float featuring Santa Claus and the Grinch with a heart entered by Smirlhome Farms won the award for Most Creative. The École St-Joseph float won the award for Best Group or Organization.
