Strategy 2: Create New Affordable Rental Housing

Public Land Disposition Concept: 0 Caddell Street Affordable Homeownership

Concept Overview This site, near the intersection of N Taylor St and Caddell St, is also publicly-owned and sits at the entrance to the Northeast Community. The site is surrounded by smaller-scale, single-family homes and is proximate to several larger redevelopment sites downtown. The site can support 7 townhomes and 1:1 equivalent parking stalls. Based on early analysis, 1,600 square foot townhomes (2- or 3-bedrooms) could be constructed for $272,000 each, which are affordable to households earning 60% AMI ($57,420). Alternatively, duplexes could include 1- or 2-bedroom units affordable to households earning 50% AMI ($47,850). FIGURE 51: 0 CADDELL ST. CONCEPT RENDERING Top Left: Existing Site Aerial
