Appendix 2: 2021 Area Median Income Limits for Raleigh Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) sets income limits by household size that determine eligibility for subsidized housing programs. HUD develops income limits based on Median Family Income estimates by Metropolitan Statistical Area. Wake Forest is in the Raleigh Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA), which includes Franklin, Johnston, and Wake Counties.
