ways to safely deliver personal finance education to the thousands of new Marines who came through the Marine Corps Recruit Depot this year. And of course, our frontline Dream Makers showed up in a big way to ensure safe and continued service to our Members throughout the year. So what’s on the horizon for 2021? I announced at the beginning of last year that our major focus would be on Operational Excellence. And we did strive to generate efficiencies and streamline processes. But with the curve balls thrown at us by the coronavirus pandemic, we may not have gotten quite as far as we’d hoped. So, that work will continue throughout 2021 as we seek to further improve and enhance our products and services and eliminate Member friction points. Our goal to provide you with an exceptional experience and be the best place you’ve ever banked remains steadfast. We’ve got some exciting plans to make that happen in the works, and I can’t wait for you to see them brought to life. Another big task for all of us this year is to VOTE in the upcoming Board Election! We have ten candidates running for three positions on the Board of Directors and another four candidates running for three positions on the Supervisory Committee. You can get to know them on our website. So that, when the polls open in late February, you’ll be ready to select the candidates you think will do the best job representing you and guiding the credit union toward an even brighter future in service to our Membership. 2021 Annual Election Active Members with a valid email address on file will receive an email with an electronic ballot link on February 24, 2021. Members may request a paper ballot by calling 952.974.2339 or emailing email@example.com no later than February 19, 2021. Electronic and paper voting will close on March 24, 2021. Members who prefer to vote in person may do so at any of our open branch locations March 8 – March 19, 2021. You Spoke. We Listened! When we say we want to do everything we can to make your Frontwave experience great, we mean it. We value the feedback you give us, and take action to make improvements. So when you asked for an easier way to dispute incorrect or suspicious transactions, we came up with a way for you to do it right inside online banking! Now when you click on a transaction, you’ll see a “Help” link. Simply click the link, follow the instructions and we’ll get things sorted out. Happy New Year! Like many of you, I’m glad to welcome in a fresh new year and say goodbye to 2020. There’s no doubt it was a tough year for many. We struggled at times ourselves with staffing challenges and temporary closures. But 2020 wasn’t all doom and gloom. There were a number of bright spots here at Frontwave — like our ability to help over 200 local businesses obtain the funds they needed to stay afloat via the Paycheck Protection Program, being named both San Diego’s Best Credit Union and Best Mortgage Company by San Diego Reader magazine, and last but not least, being recognized as the Best Bank in the Morongo Basin! Our Dream Makers also pulled together to deliver everyday successes — for example, pivoting our local in-person financial seminars to online virtual workshops, which are still going strong! Check out page 3 to see what’s on tap for this quarter. Our Military Relations team also adapted to find creative Annual Meeting Join us Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 5 pm at Frontwave Headquarters to hear about the state of the credit union from our Board of Directors and to review the annual report. All Frontwave members are invited to attend.
