HOW TO IMPROVE POSTURE QUICKLY & EASILY... | 2 EXERCISES TO HELP YOU FEEL BETTER | PRACTICE NEWS
STARTING POSITION: Sitting at your workstation, your home computer or the dinner table in your normal posture: 1. Try to raise both arms up in front and continue overhead without moving your spine. If you can’t get full shoulder motion or have pain, you probably end up slouched without realizing it. 2. Try to roll your shoulders down and back without moving your spine. If you feel this is difficult to do, your muscles are probably keeping your shoulders elevated. 3. Raise your arms up and out to the side like a “jumping jack” without moving your spine. If you have pain, you probably end up slouched without realizing it. Spend Time With Friends Without A Headache! The Culprit Of Headaches...
4. Try to clasp your hands behind your back. Now raise your arms up behind you. If you are unable to raise them very far, you have limited shoulder, spine or chest mobility. NOW REPEAT THE TESTS WHILE sitting up straight and allow the spine to move. Compare the difference in your shoulder motions or pain. If you suffer from neck pain, headaches or shoulder pain, don’t let it linger on and cause more damage. 2 Helpful Exercises To Strengthen Shoulders
STRETCHES MUSCLES IN SHOULDERS
WAND SHOULDER FLEXION Lying on your back and holding a wand, palms face down on both sides, slowly raise the wand towards overhead. Repeat 3 times.
ELASTIC BAND EXTERNAL ROTATION While holding an elastic band at your side with your elbow bent, start with your hand near your stomach and then pull the band away. Keep your elbow at your side the entire time. Repeat 5 times.

Our four clinic directors, as well as our office manager and president met in San Antonio. Finally, we would like to welcome our newest member, Lydia. She just joined us on February 11th. We are sure she will do a great job for us. Del Rio. Del Rio staff came together for several great causes in February. Kristi and several of her staff ran the Red, White, and Blue 5k to benefit a scholarship fund for local high school seniors. Other members of theBTA teamparticipated in theRun for theCrown5k in sponsorshipofoneof thepageantcontestants.Kristiand herhusbandalso facedoff in theannualTexasHold ‘Em CharityTournament tobenefit theGarySiniseFoundation which provides support to our veterans. Kristi came in 6thplaceandwas theonlywoman tomake it to thefinal table! Finally, our CEO, clinic directors, therapists, and administrator met for our annual director’s conference on the River Walk in San Antonio. On the6thofFebruary,weatBackToActionBrownsville were at the 3rd Annual Brownsville Community & Senior Health & Wellness Expo 2019 and showed our love for the Brownsville Community, Seniors and Winter Texans by providing them free educational information on what physical therapy can do for them. Hundreds of people attended this event to learn about how to live a heart healthy lifestyle. There were fun activities such and free screenings, and tons of prizes and giveaways. We had seen some familiar faces at the event and most were our previous patients at Back To Action Physical Therapy. It was a great and fruitful event, and we wish to do it again next time.
