Students attended the Afro-Latino Workshop in Charlotte The Afro-Latino workshop in Charlotte provided students with an immersive experience, delving into Afro-Latino history and culture while also o ering exposure to authentic Spanish language speakers. Artistic showcases from various countries including Uruguay, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Brazil, Cuba, and Central America captivated attendees. Students actively participated in cultural demonstrations, enjoyed chess games, and showcased their musical talents. Many thanks to Mr. Barrios, Ms. Gaspar, and Mr. Simpson for organizing the students to attend this event. In total, 12 high school students represented our group, enriching their understanding and appreciation of Afro-Latino heritage.
