Lifeline skills-for-life Training Portfolio

In person or online delivery?

Whether online training is better than face-to- face training remains a contentious issue. Face- to-face training has advantages: Social interaction during training sessions Fewer chances for multitasking, decreased focus and divided attention In-person, physical presence enhances the quality of communication, 3D not 2D. Delivering in the virtual space has other advantages: portability, can be achieved at work or at home; collapses geography, especially helpful for members of remote teams to join without having to travel; no requirement for venue or catering; increasingly familiar mode of learning; and can feel visually personal.
