READ ACROSS AMERICA DAY Examining a Monumental Accomplishment

March 2 is Read Across America Day, a day dedicated to celebrating literacy and embracing the many books that have impacted and changed our lives. Reading is a virtue. The escape into fantasy, the knowledge we unlock with the turn of every page, and the glimpse into history that some books provide is astonishing. For me, two of my favorite genres to read are history and biographies. Curiosity captivates me as I learn about past events and their inner workings or the lives of those who came before us and paved the way. One novel that particularly stands out to me I initially didn’t think I’d really enjoy. “The Wright Brothers” by David McCullough encompasses how two bicycle mechanic brothers from Dayton, Ohio introduced the world to flight. The book takes you through their journey of becoming obsessed with flight and their determination over many years trying to perfect it. I had known who the Wright brothers were, and what they accomplished, but reading about the intricacies of their lives and journey to flight was awe-inspiring. From the beginning of the book, it instantly hooked me. The lives of Orville and Wilbur were truly inspirational. They dedicated their entire lives to the premise that men could potentially fly. And, luckily, they were raised in a family that offered a lot of support with a huge admiration for learning. This story offers something for everyone, teaching us that with hard work and dedication, what seems to be nearly impossible is within reach if you give it your all. If you were to put yourself in the shoes of someone at the tail end of the 19th century, the idea of flight would have sounded crazy and absolutely preposterous. It’d seem nearly impossible. And now, we can’t imagine life without flight — without the ability to book a flight, hop on an airplane, and travel the world in a matter of hours. Our lives

revolve around these trips. Many people travel weekly or monthly for work. We take vacations in which we fly overseas to reach amazing destinations. We rely on the accomplishments of Orville and Wilbur. The dedication of the Wright brothers changed the world in so many ways. Like technical innovations, these contributions built upon each other and led to other advancements. While we don’t imagine that our law firm will change the world in the way in which flight did, we pride ourselves on the ability to change someone’s life through our hard work and dedication. Whether you need assistance with a divorce or custody case, an injury claim for yourself or a loved one, or if you have been charged with a crime, we are here to help.

IT’S MORE THAN JUST TIDYING UP

4 Health Benefits of Spring-Cleaning

Sunday, March 20, is the first day of spring — which means it’s time for some spring- cleaning. Did you know that cleaning is not just about tidying up a physical space? It’s also about improving overall well-being. Here’s how organization and cleanliness can help you in more ways than you might expect. Spring-cleaning reduces stress and depression. Tidiness and mental health are actually connected. Studies have found that having a clean home is directly correlated to happiness and your ability to focus. Anxiety can spike when laundry is piling up, items are strewn everywhere, and papers get scattered on various surfaces within the home. Clearing the clutter is a great way to boost your mood and increase those feel-good hormones. It prevents illnesses. Doorknobs, refrigerator handles, light switches, countertops, and remote controls are all things we touch many times a day. Cleaning anything that’s used often is

one way to reduce the spread of germs. By keeping household surfaces clean, we help thwart the spread of viruses and illnesses. Spring-cleaning helps you breathe better. Spring often brings pollen that triggers allergies for many. But pollen isn’t the only thing to blame when people have difficulty breathing. When dust and pet dander build up in your home, your respiratory system is greatly affected too. Deep-cleaning your air filters and vents can make breathing effortless — and it’s truly amazing how this can improve your well-being. It keeps you more active. Off the couch and on your feet! Even just running the vacuum and clearing the clutter from the dining room table will get you up and moving, which is healthy for your heart and body. This spring season, putting some elbow grease into your cleaning will benefit you in more ways than one. Trust me, you’ll thank yourself later!

Testimonials HIGHLY RECOMMENDED –J. S. Evatt. A friend referred me to Rob Usry and asked him to give me a call. At 72, I have had some good and personable attorneys (usually on a retainer) or my brothers-in-law. I found it exceptional that he [Rob] promptly called me! I returned his call and began telling the receptionist why I called; she checked to see if he was available, and later, I enjoyed a pleasant conversation with a true gentleman who I would be delighted to work with. I recommend engaging him on your side. Honesty and sincerity above the money!

THE AT-FAULT DRIVER LEFT THE SCENE How to Get aWrongful Death Settlement Following a Fatal South Carolina Hit and Run

1. Take steps immediately to protect your rights. Your case may require you to take some extra legal steps. We can walk you through this. 2. You may be eligible for a much bigger settlement than it looks. If the victim owned multiple vehicles or even had additional vehicles owned by relatives who lived with him or her, you might be able to get settlements from the UM policies on those vehicles. But this involves a legal tactic called stacking. To get this done

When you lose a loved one to a hit-and-run driver who leaves the scene of the accident, it’s a major tragedy, but it doesn’t have to be a travesty of justice. Both you and your family still have important rights enforceable in a South Carolina case. While it seems like there’s no one to hold accountable, there’s still a source you can use to recover a settlement that you might need desperately for financial support.

When an at-fault driver leaves the scene of a fatal accident, the victim’s family can still recover a wrongful death settlement from a surprising source: the victim’s own insurance policy. That’s because South Carolina requires all car, truck, and motorcycle insurance policies to contain coverage called uninsured motorist coverage. But the insurance company may be tough to deal with.

right, you need a trained legal eye with extensive experience in handling auto insurance policies. One of the first things we do in any case is figure out all the policies we can find to help get our people the highest financial settlement possible.

In a wrongful death case with a hit-and-run driver, you can’t afford to be the only amateur in the room.

Sadly, this case got started because no one would help your loved one. Don’t turn away from professional help offered by a South Carolina wrongful death attorney whose job is to protect your rights and maximize your family’s compensation for what might be a devastating financial loss. We can help you recover a sense of justice from a horrific act.

There are a few secrets you should know about using UM coverage in a fatal accident case. Almost no one will volunteer this information to you, especially not at the insurance company, but we will because it’s vital to your case.

Make a 4-Leaf Clover Keepsake BUT FIND THE ELUSIVE GOOD-LUCK CHARM FIRST

One of St. Patrick’s Day’s most popular symbols is a four-leaf clover. In Ireland, these clovers represent luck and good fortune. Each leaf on the clover has a different meaning — faith, hope, love, and success. It’s a tradition to find a four-leaf clover on St. Patrick’s Day and do activities involving this lucky leaf. So, how do you find these good- luck charms, and what can you do with them? How to Find a 4-Leaf Clover Although it may seem difficult, it’s easier than you might think. First, find a dense patch of white clover — near it is where four-leaf clovers reside. They are different from the rest and are often smaller, so keep that in mind when you look for the lucky green clovers. Instead of staring at the patch in close detail and counting leaves, search the patch without focusing on the tiny details. This increases the odds of eyeing a four-leaf clover because the different patterns, shapes, and sizes of these clovers will jump out at you. If you find one, keep looking! There’s a chance another one might be nearby. Clover Craft Once you find your clover, preserve the luck in it all year by placing it in a picture frame. First, gently press the clover leaves between the pages

of a large book for several days to flatten them out. After pressing, you can add green food coloring to your clover to enhance its color. Once it’s dry, clean it and let it sit overnight. Then, place your clover onto acid-free paper, cut to fit the size of a picture frame of your choice. Next, use acid-free glue to keep your clover in place, and finally, seal your frame shut. You now have your personal good luck charm! Searching for a four-leaf clover and creating a keepsake will be a great bonding experience for you and your family. We wish you luck! Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
