THE AWARD-WINNING LIGHT COMMERCIAL VEHICLE IS MORE EFFICIENT, BETTER EQUIPPED AND HAS A 1,625KG PAYLOAD AND TOWING CAPACITY OF 2,500KG… Introducing the Irish Large Panel Van of the Year 2025

The new Renault Master is the biggest van in the company’s light commercial vehicle line-up, joining the Kangoo and Trafic in its PRO+ range. The model didn’t take long to start collecting awards, with it recently crowned International Van of the Year and Irish Large Panel Van of the Year 2025. The new Master is a good-looking machine, featuring a fancy front grill with Renault’s new logo, slim LED headlights and sweeping daytime driving lights. It’s all part of Renault’s Aerovan design that focuses on optimising aerodynamics for improved efficiency. The Master’s large size provides it with a payload up to 1,625kg and load volumes ranging from 10.8m3 for the Medium Wheel Base Roof up to 14.8m3 for the largest Long Wheel Base Medium Roof version. Rear doors open 180 degrees (270 degrees is optional) and it has the largest sliding door in its class. The new Master can be customised with various options such as crew cabs, box

vans, drop-sides, tippers and double- cab chassis vans and all variants have a towing capacity of 2,500kg. Power comes from a 2.0L dCi turbo diesel engine that comes in three power outputs, 130, 150and 170bhp, but the more powerful version is only available on the long-wheel base models. There is also a fully-electric version fitted with an 87kWh battery that provides a range up to 460km, supporting DC fast charging up to 130kW. Renault also produces a hydrogen fuel- cell powered model, although there are not currently any hydrogen fuel stations in Ireland. The entry-level dCi 130 engine version produces 130bhp and 350Nm of torque and has a 0-100kph time of 14.3secs with a top speed of 162kph. The Master is available with a six-speed manual gearbox or an optional nine- speed automatic. The auto would make city driving a lot easier, especially if it is being used as a delivery van with lots of starts and stops. To make it more comfortable, Renault

has fitted the driver’s seat with six-way adjustability. The upholstery coverings are reinforced in high-use areas for extended life, with lots of hard-wearing plastics around the cabin too. The driver-oriented cockpit has nine storage areas totalling 135L. These include a handy, hidden 66L storage compartment under front passenger seats. The new Master also comes fitted with a mobile office that consists of a fold- down backrest in the central seat that transforms into a tray table. And it can also be used as a laptop support with areas for your pens and smartphone, as well as a double cup holder. You can opt for a 10in openR link multimedia system that comes with Google built in so you can choose from more than 50 apps and access Google Assistant by voice control. It also comes with 20 drive assistance systems, but that doesn’t include a reversing camera, it’s an optional extra, which is a shame for a van of this size. www.renault.ie/www.renault.co.uk
