Leading mechanical and electrical building services provider Vaughan Engineering has been recognised with the Special Recognition Award in honour of reaching its milestone 70th anniversary in 2025. From humble beginnings in 1955, this family-run business has grown into a major force in the mechanical and electrical services sector, delivering excellence across the UK and Ireland and continuing to lead with the integrity, dedication and collaborative spirit that shaped its success from the very start. Headquartered in Newtownabbey with offices in Tyne & Wear and Cheshire and over 190 employees, the thriving business was founded by Albert Vaughan in 1955. It is now in the hands of his sons, Group CEO Gavin Vaughan, Chairman Mike Vaughan and Director Bryan Vaughan. Expanding its operations into ventilation ductwork with Brankin Engineering in 1974, its expertise covers the full range of electrical, mechanical and ventilation services from inception to completion. Celebrating 50 years’ service this September, Mike brings dedication and passion to his role, while Gavin has been with the family firm for 38 years, actively participating in fundamental business decisions and guiding the next generation. Bryan has been with the company for 42 years, largely within its home-building division but also participating in its M&E side at Board level.
