Jane and Mike have traveled on six Viking cruises and have many more planned in the future — they are certainly
recommend that everyone check out the amenities such as the sauna and fitness room, and on the smaller river

Their favorite destination thus far was Portugal’s River of Gold on the Douro river, and they are very excited to travel to Norway in search of Northern Lights this month. “We really enjoy the smaller ships and the intimacy that they offer. For us, the fact that there aren’t any casinos is amazing. It allows us to get to know many of the fellow travelers better,” Jane and Mike tell us. They have met many fascinating people on their cruises. “One couple in particular we actually met on our very first cruise and we continue to travel together. They are from the UK and are such great friends of ours now. Had we never had the opportunity to really get to know them, we would’ve missed out on a fabulous friendship.” Jane and Mike feel that Viking cruises are a first-class experience from start to finish. The destinations, food, service, and fellow travelers all make the experience exciting, memorable, and special. “On the ocean cruises, we really
cruises, the dining room is the best place to meet other guests. Some other friends we met have even taught us how to line dance on the ship! Every time we board a new Viking ship, we never know what adventure awaits us.” Both Jane and Mike highly recommend that if you are traveling on an ocean ship, stop by the Torshavn Lounge in the evening after dinner for some karaoke, dancing, and night fun. On the river ships, they have a small lounge where you can play trivia and dance as well! It’s always a great time and a fabulous way to enjoy yourselves with friends after dinner.
