CERCLES Open air XXL dance workshop
FRANCE / WA AUSTRALIAN EXCLUSIVE
AUSTRALIA WORLD PREMIERE
French choreographer Boris Charmatz invites 200 amateurs to a six-day workshop to explore the circle as a cocoon, as a raging crowd or a wall of bodies – agile, determined. Together with a dozen professional dancers from Europe and Australia, he transmits a collection of circle dances set within the expanse of Forrest Place. CERCLES is an exciting choreographic emergence that builds night after night. Propelled by a soundtrack by Meute, a Hamburg-based band who reinterpret electronic music classics in their own unique way, this communal movement experience extends our perception of what dance can be. Sign up to be part of this free open-air workshop or witness CERCLES as it unfolds over three nights in Forrest Place. Visit perthfestival.com.au for details of how you can join in.
