DSP&S (DISABLED STUDENTS PROGRAMS AND SERVICES) (559) 442-8237 • www.fresnocitycollege.edu/DSP&S Disabled Students Programs and Services staff are committed to creating an accessible learning community where individuals with disabilities have an equal opportunity to pursue their educational goals. We strive to empower students, foster independence, and promote achievement through self-advocacy. Eligibility • Documentation from an appropriate licensed professional such as a doctor, nurse practitioner, psychiatrist, psychologist, licensed clinical social worker, ophthalmologist, audiologist, licensed speech professional, or neurologist • Existing documentation from a medical facility or another public or private non-profit agency serving people with disabilities such as Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Rehabilitation, Independent Living Center, or disability specific agency • An Individual Education Plan (IEP) that was developed in high school, including any documentation or testing that was used to determine eligibility for the IEP • A 504 Plan that was developed in high school, along with any medical documentation or testing that was used to determine eligibility • Personal observation by a certificated DSP&S staff member in conjunction with the student self-report, may verify the existence of an observable disability • Learning disability eligibility testing may be available for those who suspect that they have a learning disability, but who have not been formally assessed EOPS (EXTENDED OPPORTUNITY PROGRAMS AND SERVICES) (559) 442-8231 • www.fresnocitycollege.edu/eops EOPS is a comprehensive program that assists low-income and academically dis - advantaged students pursuing academic and vocational goals that require additional financial and academic assistance. Eligibility • Be a resident of California or eligible for AB540 or DREAM Act • Awarded the California College Promise Grant (CCPG) type A or B • Financial Aid package through Fresno City College • Enrollment in at least 12 units for the semester in which you are applying – at least 3 units at FCC – Unit exceptions for verified DSPS students • Completed fewer than 45 college units in ALL college coursework including colleges outside of SCCCD • Meet one EOPS educational factors – see full list on EOPS website

CalWORKs (559) 442-8286 • www.fresnocitycollege.edu/student-services/calworks The CalWORKs Program is dedicated to providing equitable and inclusive services to parenting students seeking to become economically and socially empowered through education. Eligibility • Must have children and/or dependents under the age of 18 and; • Must be currently receiving cash aid assistance through a local county agency (i.e. Fresno County, Tulare County, etc.) CARE (COOPERATIVE AGENCIES RESOURCES FOR EDUCATION) (559) 442-8231 • www.fresnocitycollege.edu/eops As a supplemental component of EOPS, CARE provides educational support services in addition to the college and EOPS services. CARE is a unique educational program geared toward the welfare recipient who desires a job-relevant education to break the dependency cycle. The program assists academically under prepared, low income, single household/parent (as determined by County Social Services) who receives cash aid for themselves and/or their child. Eligibility • Must meet all EOPS requirements

The Fresno City College Dream Center's mission is to provide information, support, resources, and academic counseling to new and continuing migrant students in overcoming challenges and assisting students in the completion of their educational goals in a safe and confidential environment. The Fresno City College Dream Center team is here to assist with AB540 Affidavit forms, CA Residency Questionnaires, Student Educational Plans (SEP), general counseling, Financial Aid assistance, scholarships, volunteer opportunities, job opportunities, legal advice from professionals, and other campus resources. INTERNATIONAL STUDENT SERVICES (559) 442-8204 • www.fresnocitycollege.edu/international The International Student Services Program provides admission assistance and academic counseling to international students attending FCC. International Students that are in the U.S. on an F-1, M-1 or J-1 visa can receive guidance and counseling while attending Fresno City College. The office is located downstairs in the Student Service Building (ST-108).
