NextUp is an expanded EOPS program that provides various support for current and former foster youth. The purpose of NextUp is to encourage the enrollment, retention and transfer of current and former foster youth at Fresno City College. Eligibility • Be a current or former foster youth in California whose dependency was established on or after the youth’s 13th birthday. This includes students with a dependency status established outside of California. • Be no older than 25 years of age at the beginning of any academic year in which the student first enrolls in the program. • Enrolled in at least nine units, however, students enrolled in fewer than nine units may be accepted into the program if enrollment is part of an education plan designed to move the student toward subsequent enrollment in at least nine units. Peters Honors Program at Fresno City College provides an en - riched education experience to recognize and meet the needs of academically excellent students. Honors courses are innovative and reflect the instructors’ interest in and commitment to the students’ academic, intellectual, cultural, and social development. Honors students will receive benefits such as priority registration, faculty mentorship, eligibility to apply for the Leon S. Peters Honors Scholarship and receive dedicated educational counselor and transfer assis - tance from honors counselors. Eligibility • GPA of 3.50 (4.00 Scale) OR GPA Ranking within the top 25th percentile of your high school class OR combined Scores of 1200 on the SAT or a composite score of 24 on the ACT • Be an incoming student or current student at Fresno City College • Be willing to participate in all activities sponsored by the program • Be willing to complete at least one honors course each semester and one symposium courses

Student Support Services Program (SSSP) is a free federal TRIO Program that serves first generation, low-income, and disabled students. It provides high touch academic support and guidance to help FCC students meet the challenges in obtaining a certificate, a degree, and/or transferring to a four-year college. SSSP serves 160 participants each project year. Program and academic requirements: • Be first generation or low-income or have a disability • Enrolled in 12 units or more, with a 2.5 or higher GPA at time of intake • Have attempted less than 60 units • Currently pursuing a certificate, degree, and/or transferring to a 4-year university • Show need for academic support VETERANS RESOURCE CENTER (559) 442-8224 www.fresnocitycollege.edu/student-services/veterans-resource-center The Veterans Resource Center is committed to assisting the veteran community in their transition to college by providing services that address their academic, social, and physical needs and in the areas of GI Bill® benefits.
