Kieran McAllister, Director, said, “Our membership of ANEW has obviously fed into our success, because being part of the biggest buying group gives you access to the best terms which you can pass on to your customers. “Another big advantage we have in our business is, whenever
everybody else was reducing their stock in the tight times, we invested in stock.” Joining ANEW enabled Cable & Accessories to add bigger contractors and brands to its portfolio, such as MK, Thorn, Xpelair, Hager, Redring, Ansell, Silverline, Gewiss, Aico and Click. “ROBUS is now a global concern, but their founder Mick Slein started around the same time as us,” said Kieran. “They went down the manufacturing route and we
went down the wholesaler route. “We’ve grown together and have a fabulous relationship with them. I believe we are their biggest Northern Ireland customer.” Cable & Accessories prides itself on having stock at hand on its shelves, even for customers coming in looking for 10 or 20 products. “We aim for no ordering and no waiting, so we can save our customers money and they can get straight down to work,” said Kieran.
