At the heart of Cable & Accessories NI Ltd’s success is its team of experienced staff members, forging long-term relationships with customers. “We’ve got the Manchester United team of the 1990s and the Man City of the present day,” said Kieran McAllister, Director. “They’re very committed to the business and without them it wouldn’t be what it is now.” The team has grown alongside expansion of the business, and now totals 43 staff members including the three directors, across its HQ and six branches. “Our staff have come with us on the journey really, because I would
say at least 70% are here in excess of 20 years,” said Kieran. “It really is a family business, with very low staff turnover. “Our staff have been the foundation of the business. We have an ethos of looking after our team, and they’ll look after us and we’re all in it together, and it’s really worked for us. “We have a great team that works well together. The family feel that I noticed when I first joined from a big corporate company like DuPont three decades ago is still prevalent today. “Our staff have been at the branches for quite some time and appreciate that top quality
customer service is a core part of what we do. We also have quite a few electrical guys and that knowledge is important. “If you are on the same page as the customer, you can better understand and fulfil their requirements. To put it simply, if your staff aren’t right, your business won’t be.” “We have an ethos of looking after our team, and they’ll look after us and we’re all in it together, and it’s really worked for us.”
