WATER HEATERS
STIEBEL ELTRON’S NEW WATER HEATING TECHNOLOGY ENSURES LONGEVITY AND A BETTER PERFORMANCE, EVEN IN HARD WATER AREAS… No more limescale with bare wire technology
STIEBEL ELTRON has been making water heaters since Dr Stiebel invented the coil immersion heater in 1924. Now it is bringing innovative water heating technology to the Irish market through its new subsidiary based in Blanchardstown, Dublin. All its instantaneous water heaters feature bare wire technology, which equals longer product life and better sustained performance, even in hard water areas. Bare wire: the benefits • Faster heat up time • Can take pre-heated water • Resistant to limescale – better sustained performance and longer product life • Faster to react to changes in water pressure and voltage to maintain constant water temperatures • More efficient • Doesn’t require annual servicing like gas appliances – reducing the burden for landlords How bare wire heating works Unlike traditional water heaters where the heating element is enclosed in a heat exchanger, in bare wire products the live heating conductors are in direct contact with the water being heated. This means greater efficiency and speed in heat transfer. Bare wire heating elements are especially suitable for use with hard water - like that found in many parts of Ireland.
L-R: Convenience, Compact and Mini water heaters from Stiebel Eltron.
The very small amount of water inside the appliance and the low-mass heating system means there is hardly any post- heating after the appliance has been switched off – a major reason for the reduction in scale build-up. Older-style tubular instantaneous water heaters can quickly scale up and lose flow in hard water; not so bare wire heaters which can give many years of service without loss of performance. Find out more and where to buy All compact and mini products are WRAS approved, as are the DHB-E range of convenience heaters. The bare wire range is available at all major wholesalers.
