USING BUSBAR RATHER THAN TRADITIONAL METHODS OF TRUNKING TO DISTRIBUTE POWER HAS YIELDED SIGNIFICANT LABOUR SAVINGS FOR A LARGE BAKERY IN A TIME-SENSITIVE PROJECT INSTALLED BY GRAZIADIO… Pulling out all the stops to power a large bakery

A large bakery was looking at solutions to provide a more efficient way of distributing power around its new factory. Coming to its aid was Graziadio, an Italian manufacturer distributed exclusively by Core Distribution NI across the island of Ireland.

Comparing the installation of cable and trunking vs busbar indicated large labour savings could be achieved through completing the installation with busbar trunking rather than traditional methods at the bakery in Lyons Park, Coventry. A lighting busbar system was also discussed to provide additional cost savings. Graziadio objectives Lead time is often a huge consideration for projects of this type, said Graziadio, and the Lyons Park project was no exception. Price and quality were further motivators for the client when selecting the Italian manufacturer. An order was placed at the end of July. However, with August generally a ghost month for global manufacturing, Graziadio faced the challenge of ensuring its supply was unimpeded by any delays. Having discussed the timeline with the client, the Italian manufacturer pulled out all the stops, working with all parties to try and find a common solution.

As a result, it was able to source the raw materials for the end of August, with the factory prioritising this important project and shipping the goods on September 2 to help the client meet its deadlines. All lighting busbar was supplied from its own substantial stock holding, with both manufacturer and client satisfied with an installation executed well to deadline.
