FAQ’s Is everything included in the price of camp? We try to keep our additional charges to a minimum. A list of additional charges can be found in the Camp Activities section of this packet. What if a camper is coming in by plane? Snowcamp transportation is available from Albany International airport 1:00pm - 6:00pm on Friday and/or Albany International airport drop off time at 2:00pm - 4:00pm on Sunday. There is also pick up/drop off availability at certain Amtrak locations listed under our Word of Life Snowcamp Transportation form. There is a $25 fee each way per camper that will be added to your reservation. Our Snowcamp transportation form can be be found here: wol.is/camptransportation What are the cabin facilities like? Campers sleep on bunk beds in heated cabins with bathroom facilities inside each cabin. Each room houses approximately 10 campers and 2 counselors. Groups are automatically housed together as much as possible unless requested otherwise. When a large group exceeds the cabin size, they will be housed by age unless requests are made. What is the food like? The food served at camp is the finest quality and is prepared under strict supervision. A well-balanced diet is planned for each day. Campers are served buffet style and are free to eat as much as they desire. Optional sandwiches and/or cereal are available at each meal. Candy and snacks are available at the Snack Shack. Campers are also welcome to bring their own snacks and drinks. What if I forget things at camp? Lost and found articles are returned upon claim by parents or youth leaders within 7 days following the weekend. After 7 days, unclaimed articles are removed from the property. We do request that the owner reimburse Word of Life for the cost of shipping. Lost and found inquiries can be directed to 518.494.1471 or nystudentservices@wol.org. Can I call my camper? Please limit calls to campers for emergencies only. Student Services Desk can be reached by calling 518.494.1471. A message will be taken, the Student Services Desk will be informed, and they may return your call. No camper calls will be made after 10:00 PM unless it is an extreme emergency. Campers may not have cell phones at camp. Who are the counselors? Our counseling team is primarily made up of Bible Institute students. They have been equipped through training and our Biblically focused academic program to help your students take their next steps with Jesus.
