Danel Myloserdnyy, Théo Landry, Mathys Laurent, Gabriel Le Houillier, Alex Kelloway and Taylor Laframboise all scored for the Nationals. Le Houillier notched his league leading 30th goal of the season and added two assists. He also leads the league with 64 points. Defensive battle in Renfrew Fresh off their 6-2 win against Pembroke at home, the Nats travelled to Renfrew to take on the Wolves the following night in what proved to be a defensive battle between the two clubs. Joshua Penney’s 12th goal of the season early in the second period proved to be all the scoring needed. The Nats were able to secure the 1-0 win. The Nats outshot the Wolves 51-25. Jack Carter earned the shutout for Rockland, his second of the season, while his counterpart, Reece Herman, was named the game’s first star after a 50 save performance.
With victories over the Pembroke Lumber Kings and Renfrew Wolves last weekend, the reigning Bogart Cup champions have no won 12 consecutive games. The Rockland Nationals, winners of 12 straight games, will host the Nepean Raiders on Dec. 20 and hit the road to take on the Lumber Kings on Dec. 21 before the Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL) pauses its season for the Christmas break. With 27 wins in 29 games played, Rockland sits first in the CCHL league standings with 54 points and are 15 points clear of the Ottawa Junior Senators for first place in the CCHL’s Yzerman Division. In the midst of a 12 games win streak, the Nats are back on top the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) top 20 rankings. Against Pembroke The Nationals hosted the Pembroke Lumber Kings on Friday, Dec. 12 and were able to secure an impressive 6-2 win.
