(Photo fournie)
ROCKLAND AUTHOR RELEASES FIRST ENGLISH NOVEL
ANIL JHALLI anil.jhalli@eap.on.ca
home. Last month, Pilon’s first English book entitled ‘Under the Rotor – Between Signal and Heartbeat’ was released. Pilon said the book, which is set in her home country, is a heartfelt story that blends small-town atmosphere, emotional healing, and rescue-service elements. “I have always wanted to write, and I
remember writing as early as 12 years old,” said Pilon in an interview with The Vision. “Any time I have an idea, I jump into writing.” Pilon has many published works under her belt, but they are all in German. She has dabbled in different genres before, but her latest work is an English romance novel. But it’s not a typical romance novel, she said. The book explores other themes and emotions in its small town setting. She took elements from her own life experiences, all the ups and downs, and incorporated them in this story. “It’s a heartfelt story that blends small- town atmosphere, emotional healing, and rescue-service elements,” she said. “Writing this book was definitely a healing feeling for me and I want people to take away a message of hope, positivity and healing.” She said the response the book has
been receiving has been overwhelmingly positive. “I wrote and self-published the book right here in Rockland, and at a recent local market, it received wonderful reactions — even from people who hadn’t read it yet,» she said. »One visitor even said it reminded her of a Hallmark movie.” And who knows, maybe one day, a Hall- mark movies will be made from one of her stories. But for now, Pilon is focused on what’s next. “The ideas are always coming,” she said.
