If the word “lake” is a major draw, then a stay at Mountain Lakes RV Resort in Langston, Alabama, is for you. The adjacent pristine Guntersville Lake, Alabama's largest lake at 69,100 acres, is noted as a top bass fishing spot. Add to that fishing piers, covered boat slips, wet storage, boat docks, fish cleaning station, and boat launches. It’s the perfect destination for anglers so make sure to pack your rod and tackle. Another part of the resort’s name is “mountain.” Although not as dramatic as the Rocky’s, there is not much more beautiful than the views across the rolling hills / mountains of northeastern Alabama. Add that to the view across the lake and you’ve got your own brand of paradise. You can also stroll alongside the one-half mile of lake shore. But there’s a lot more to Mountain Lakes RV Resort than fishing and boating. Most of the hundreds of sites are full hook-up and pull-through enjoying the resort’s free Wi- Fi. If you’ve come to get away from it all and just chill at your spacious site, that’s wonderful. But we know you’ll be tempted to join your friends or meet new ones while exercising on the adjacent hiking trails or swimming in the outdoor seasonal swimming pool or in the heated indoor pool. Have fun on the basketball and volleyball courts and let your children run wild on the playground. Test your putting skills playing miniature golf and hit a few sets on the tennis court. There’s also horseshoes and shuffleboard.
You can take it inside at the fitness center, TV lounge, and library in the two-story clubhouse that includes a kids’ rec room. The activities staff never allow you to be bored (unless you choose to) with a jam-packed schedule, which includes live entertainment, crafts, and bingo. Tired of cooking, take the family to the on-site Country Cafe. This resort has fully appointed condos, lake houses, bunk houses for large groups and full kitchen motel units for extra family or if you travel without your rig. Add a 2,000-square-foot country store and the best recreation program in Alabama.
