R-Ranch in the Mountains currently has two lakes, Crystal Lake and Rainbow Lake. You’ll find bass, bluegill, and catfish, as well as frogs, tadpoles, minnows, and geese. For serious trout fishing, the cold waters of the Chestatee River and other trout streams are only a few miles away. Also on both lakes are canoes included in your membership. You simply go to the front desk to check out your paddles to enjoy some tranquil time on the water. If you choose to be active, sports include miniature golf, sand volleyball court, baseball field complete with bleachers and backstop, horseshoes, and a variety of playgrounds located throughout. With over 35 miles of natural hiking and walking trails scattered across 800-plus acres, you can explore the surrounding Chattahoochee Oconee National Forests without ever having to drive to a trailhead. Trail markers are dispersed throughout the R-Ranch. The quaint chapel located at the top of Chapel Hill adjacent to the Recreational Lodge currently hosts Sunday morning non- denominational services.
