Three miles north of the City of Whitney, Texas, you’ll arrive at Whitney Resorts. Blessed with a view of beautiful Lake Whitney with access to 300 acres of land to roam on the clean, quiet, and safe property. The resort is centrally located close to I-35, making itan easy trip to attractions all over the state, including DFW, Austin, and Waco. RVers can choose from more than 100 lots with full hookups with 30-amp and 50-amp service including water, sewer, and electric. There are many recent improvements to this great resort including a new Wi-Fi system installed to provide high speed internet to all the RV guests. And, for your furry friends, check out the new dog park with covered picnic tables and two sections for small and large dogs. Another addition is the dog-wash station with hot and cold water available. It’s easy to get exercise or wind down while staying at Whitney Resorts. Take a dip in the recently renovated community pool or just sit and relax alongside the water. The biking and walking trails have access to explore all 300 acres. A fun way to access everything onsite is to rent a golf cart. The Community Center is available for rent for large groups and events, including weddings, parties, and gatherings. The remote picnic areas are also available
for rent to get a little closer to nature in private with friends and family.

The area was designated as the gateway Capital of Texas by the Texas Legislature in 2005. Predominant fish species consist of striped bass, white bass, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, crappie, catfish, and gar. The park has a boat ramp and a fish cleaning shelter. The staff loans fishing gear for use in the park. You don’t need a fishing license to fish from shore in a state park.
