Message from the Executive Director

Wood Dale Park District Board of Commissioners

Dear Wood Dale Community, As we embrace the beauty of the fall season, I’m excited to share all that the Wood Dale Park District has in store for you this autumn and early winter. From beloved seasonal traditions to innovative new offerings, our team has worked hard to provide memorable experiences for every age and interest. This season marks the debut of our newly developed Recreation Park, featuring a vibrant playground with inclusive elements—including an accessible zipline—designed for kids of all abilities. The park also includes brand-new tennis and pickleball courts, inviting residents to stay active outdoors. Additionally, Central Park Phase 2 is now complete, offering new swings, a tot playground, and outdoor fitness equipment that enhances this popular gathering space for families and individuals alike. We’re thrilled to bring back community favorites like Brews, Blues, & BBQ at White Oaks Park on September 5 and the annual Scarewalk at White Oaks Park on October 18. We’re introducing fresh events such as a Scarecrow Showdown in conjunction with Scarewalk, and a Whoville Holiday Extravaganza. Also, don’t miss the chance to unwind at our Wine Tasting at Salt Creek Golf Club. On the program side, we’re expanded our lineup with new offerings like Pose & Pour Rooftop Yoga at 390 Golf Experience, a Youth Flag-Football League, and an Adult 3V3 Turkey Tip Off Basketball Tournament. From Rainbow Playschool and youth athletics to adult fitness, there are endless ways to stay engaged. At Wood Dale Park District, our mission is to provide quality recreational experiences that promote a fun and healthy lifestyle. These new developments and expanded programs reflect our ongoing commitment to serve you better and enrich the community we proudly call home. Thank you for being a part of it. We can’t wait to see you out there making memories this season. Warm regards,
