Dear Wood Dale Community, I’m excited to welcome you to another season filled with family fun, community connections, and opportunities to enjoy everything Wood Dale Park District has to offer. As always, our goal is to bring people together through memorable experiences, and this winter and spring, we’ve lined up something for everyone! Mark your calendars for our Winter Bash on January 10, a celebration for the whole family to kick off the year with games, music, and community spirit. Then, join us for a cozy, free, indoor Winter Movie Night on January 16 at the Recreation Complex, featuring Elio—presented in collaboration with the City of Wood Dale. In February, dads and daughters can enjoy a special night out at Evening in Hollywood at Salt Creek Golf Club, a red-carpet experience sure to create lasting memories. Our spring lineup is packed with egg-citing events! Tweens and teens won’t want to miss the Tween/Teen Glow and Go Eggstravaganza on March 25, followed by the popular Adult Dash Egg Hunt on March 29 for a little grown-up fun. Families can also join us on April 4 for the Donut Bash and Egg Hunt Dash, a sweet way to celebrate spring together. Families can also look forward to Spring Break Camp for children in grades K-6, plus two athletic camps to keep kids active and engaged. New this year, we’re introducing Family Pizza & Bingo Night on May 15, a fun evening of games, laughter, and prizes for all ages! Food lovers can look forward to the return of Fish Fry Fridays at Salt Creek Golf Club, running from February 20 through April 3. This is a delicious Friday night tradition that’s perfect for friends and families alike. And don’t forget, you can also book your next party or special event at 390 Golf Experience or Salt Creek Golf Club, where our team will help make your celebration one to remember. Spring also brings opportunities to get involved in our community spaces. Community Garden registration opens March 1 for returning gardeners and April 1 for new gardeners, a wonderful chance for those with a green thumb or anyone looking to learn and grow something new. It may be cold now, but we’re already getting ready for warmer days ahead. Beach Waterpark pool pass sales begin April 1, so be sure to grab yours early and start planning your summer fun. At the Wood Dale Park District, we’re proud to be a safe and welcoming place where everyone can socialize, recreate, and try something new in a supportive environment.
