Varisty Viking Boys Basketball has seen a great success so far in their pre-league sea- son. With the success they

have seen so far, a 10-2 overall score, the team is heading in the direction of playoffs for Divi- sion 3. Playoffs begin on Febru- ary 14th. Through their success they have faced a few chal- lenges. Vikings girls Basketball 2025- 2026 season has kicked off. The girls are working hard to make this a great season. The Girls have won 6 games. McLane 56-36, Parlier 49-33, and lastly Orosi 48-46. They currently have 5 losses. The girls basketball team is in 4th division. The games usally take place around 6:30pm. This season, there is only one senior this year Ava Irigoyen. Senior Ava Irigoyen was interviewed and she was asked, “As a team what’s your guys plan for your season?” she responded, “As a team, our overall goal is to play as one and collect WINSS!!” Irigoyen was also asked, “How long have you been playing Basketball?” She said, “I have been playing basketball since like the 5th grade but have always done the small youth camps since probably 3rd grade.”

Irigoyen is one of the team captions and she was asked, “How does it feel to be one of the captions?” She answered, “I feel so honored and happy to be a caption. I love the game of basket- ball and getting the opportunity to lead my team is

your senior year?” She stated, “I am excited for my senior year with my girls but also really sad this is my last ride. I’m just hoping to go out with a bang and have fun with my teammates.” Lastly,
