Financial Management • Working closely with the Associate Director and Head of Resource, Compliance and Performance, manage and deliver the service budgets (~£10million) including but not limited to personnel, third party delivered services, and demand- based requirements. • Responsible for effective contractor, supplier and vendor management to deliver performance in accordance with agreed operating models and budgets. competitive tendering, working in collaboration with the FM Contracts & Performance team and the Estates Procurement Office. • Deliver value for money and • Responsible for sustainable cost savings - in line with financial forecasts, pre-agreed savings and efficiency targets - through continuous improvement and innovative delivery programmes. • Monitor and regularly report financial performance for the service to the Assistant Director of Facilities (Cleaning and Security Services) • Ensure all cross charging and interdepartmental billing is managed in an efficient and timely manner Performance Management • Development of service delivery metrics to consistently deliver agreed performance standards across all functional areas in the Security Services team and develop a culture of data driven decision making across the department. • Maintain an awareness of security operations in comparable organisations in order to benchmark the College’s security performance. • Others duties as directed by the Associate Director of Facilities (Security and Cleaning) including deputising as required.

Education/qualification & training Essential: • Security Industry Qualification at certificate or higher level • Member of an appropriate pro- fessional body • NEBOSH/IOSH qualification Desirable: • Senior management qualifica - tion or similar Knowledge/Skills • Customer focussed approach to service delivery • Excellent management and leadership skills particularly of a disparate team with a demon- stratable ability to build trust and to motivate an internal team ensuring alignment with delivery goals • Strong and effective communi - cator with experience of build- ing trusted effective networks which ensures influence and ef - fective engagement at all levels through the organisation from Executive to front line service areas and with key stakehold- ers. of developing change programmes within a team and managing teams through significant change • Experience Experience Essential: • Senior security management experience including organisa- tional planning and lead delivery of security function and teams across a multi-site unionised estate including experience of

dealing with high profile, poten - tially high-risk events • Risk management experience, ideally with an FM background, including maintenance of risk registers and supporting de- partments in management of risks. • Experience of planning, exercis- ing and delivery of emergency management and business con- tinuity in a large organisation • Previous budget management experience >£1m Desirable: • Professional experience of pro- viding security technical spec- ifications on crime prevention through environmental design (CPTED) to support corporate Estate development and refur- bishment projects. Personal characteristics/ other requirements Essential: • Ability to make sound judgement in pressured environments • Completer/finisher mentality to define departmental objectives and deliver sound operation- al implementation.
