6.7 PROGRESS OF REPEAT RESPONDENTS

Overall, the start-ups that took part in both surveys (2021 and 2022) made notable progress regarding the number of machines in service – eight out of eleven repeat respondents increased the number of robots they have in service

(see Figure 53). Tortuga AgTech, for example, grew its number of robots in service from 51 in 2021 to 125 in 2022, while Burro increased its number from around 90 to over 200.

The repeat respondents also made good progress with respect to total funding raised, with nine out of eleven increasing their funding (see Figure 54).
