Air Serbia is this month launching fli - ghts to two wonderful islands: Mykonos (6 th June) and the Sardinian city of Alghe- ro (10 th June). If you weren’t sure where to spend the first days of summer, you no longer have to worry, because these two destinations are simply irresistible. “The Island of the Winds”, as Mykonos is often dubbed, is located at the heart of the Cyclades island group and has a tra- ditional island culture despite being extre- mely cosmopolitan. Interwoven in this one place are luxury hotels and stone-paved streets with whitewashed houses, villa - ge chapels and countless windmills. The island is bathed in sunlight throughout the
day, while at night the doors of numerous bars and clubs open for visitors to create unforgettable memories. In contrast, Alghero is one of Sardi - nia’s liveliest cities. You’ll fall in love with its picturesque old town, traditional har - bour and the expansive beaches of this former Catalan enclave. Don’t be surpri- sed to hear older residents of the city sti- ll speaking the Catalan dialect of Alghe- rese or by the fact that the Catalan flag also flies above the town hall, alongside those of Sardinia, Italy and the European Union. This culture is felt throughout the city, so it’s no wonder that locals like to call it Little Barcelona.
