L ate June (28 th and 29 th ) sees the Bel- grade Museum of African Art become a living stage of the diverse colours, sounds, tastes and aromas of Africa. The traditional Afro Festival provides a unique experience of encountering African culture through art, music, dance, gastronomy and a rich programme intended for all generations. Thanks to the support of numerous African embassies and consulates, the festival ar- ea is enriched each year with unique stands under the scope of the special programme “Durbar - Festival of Festivals”, while visi- tors will also be able to enjoy musical per- formances by artists from a large number of African countries, as well as regional per- formers inspired by African rhythms. Also coming to the Festival is Kasiva Mutua, a Kenyan percussionist who com- bines African rhythms with contemporary sound and promotes female creativity. The Afro Festival represents the per- fect combination of education, art and pos- itive energy – a celebration of openness and understanding, which has brought to- gether all those wanting to explore and feel the spirit of Africa in Belgrade for more than two decades.
