“It was necessary to create links and threads between the works, whether through themes, techniques or general intention, assuming various shapes and forms,” explains the artist. Personal and collective mythologies, memories, ele- ments from art history and popular cul- ture are also brought together in order to create possible connections within the artworks and the personal feelings, inter- pretations and references of the observer. “This exhibition summarises a cycle of works that constantly forges a connec- tion between my personal interests in the creative and artistic sense and my re- lationship towards the context and place in which I’m currently creating, which is Belgrade. That’s why a large number of the works address my relationship to- wards what has happened here over the past 30 years and some cycles that re- peat and lead to the same outcomes. That will probably be understandable through some of the works that are ex- hibited primarily on the second low- er level. I thus concluded some story, at least for the time being. I still don’t know what will happen after that, and that is actually the charm of my job,” concluded Vidor for Elevate following the opening of this exhibition, which you can check out until mid-June.

His second exhibition, under the title Four Play, was presented in 2023 and in- cluded four sub-exhibitions that opened at four different locations on the same day. Each represented a specific opus of paintings, multimedia installations and drawings.
