BEGINNING / INTERMEDIATE DARKROOM PHOTOGRAPHY
Review of basic Darkroom practices and printing from negatives . Participants provide their own film and paper and can get support on individual projects . Chemistry provided . Code : PHO 01 Instructor : Ricky Symsick Location : Carriage House Darkroom Maximum : 8 Fee : $ 239 . 00 Day / Time : Wednesdays , 5 : 30 - 8 : 30 PM Dates : June 5 - July 24 ( 6 weeks ) ( skips June 19 and July 3 ) INTRODUCTION TO THE ART OF FILM PHOTOGRAPHY In this one - day workshop , students will learn the basics of analog ( film ) photography and how to operate a film camera . The class will consist of a hands on demonstration and discussion of the medium . Topics include : types of film and how to choose , how to load and unload film , using film camera functions , how to choose and shoot the perfect exposure , understanding your lens and depth of field , capturing motion , night photography , basic film camera care and film camera accessories . Supply list : 35mm film camera capable of manual operation ( focus , aperture , shutter speed ) camera manual ( if available ) batteries ( if the camera requires them ) 1 Unopened roll of film .
