Southern Counties president visits Oxford University

Invited by Dr David Howard, Associate Professor in Sustainable Urban Development at Kellogg College, Oxford University, Geoff spoke about regionally-led initiatives to address broader environmental and social challenges, and how local SMEs can drive sustainable solutions and optimise resources.
With housebuilding targets in the news and the recent publication of the FMB-commissioned report, Supporting SME Housebuilders , FMB Southern Counties President Geoff Anderson of Anderson Contractors Ltd was invited to speak at a public seminar on the topic of ‘Building our way out of the housing crisis: can regions work?’
BMF’s South West meeting At the beginning of April, South Director Iain Kirtley was invited by the Builders Merchant Federation’s (BMF) South West board to speak at its annual meeting. Covering the findings from the FMB’s State of Trade survey and giving a regional perspective, the meeting provided a good opportunity to share FMB members’ challenges and discuss ways to collaborate between the FMB and BMF.

South Master Builder Awards With the regional judging completed, FMB South is eagerly awaiting its Master Builder Awards ceremony, which it will host on 18 July at Norton Park Hotel to celebrate the quality and craft of members’ work.
