Central Director Nicola de Sousa attended the launch of the Topps Tiles apprenticeship programme at South & City College Birmingham (SCCB), which aims to address the shortage of tilers in the UK. Nicola said: “I genuinely felt like I’d helped to break down some of the myths about construction, especially for girls who may never have pictured themselves in the industry.”

John Gamston, a long-time member of the FMB and President of the Wolverhampton Branch, has died. He supported the FMB from the 1960s, serving on the Midlands Area Board until 2016. Central Director Nicola de Sousa said: “John’s commitment to the FMB and the wider construction industry will be remembered by all who worked with him.”
