4 What’s your dream project? CVDR: I’d love to renovate a castle, something that really puts my skills to the test. Lots of heritage detail, maybe even a hidden room or two. That’s the kind of job that shows what you’re really capable of. RL: My dream project would be to build a one-off modern Manor House replication that would test the team’s skills. I’ve always thought that would be amazing to be involved with. 5 If you weren’t a builder/ in construction, what would you do? CVDR: Before this, I used to work offshore. If I hadn’t made the switch, I’d probably still be out there. But honestly, I wouldn’t recommend that kind of life. It takes its toll. plus, nothing beats being home with the family.

But if pressed, I’m going to say my trusty impact drill. 2 What’s your go-to radio station or what’s a favourite on-site song that gets everyone singing? CVDR: We’ve usually got North Sound 1 or Tay FM on because it keeps the vibe light and the people on site in a good

range in age demographics, ranging from 17-63. So as you can imagine, you can’t please everyone. We normally have either Absolute Radio or Gold Radio as they seem to keep everyone happy. 3 What’s the strangest request you’ve ever received from a client? CVDR: Oh man, I once had

probably when I was showing a client around her renovation and, at the time, the stairs had been removed so she went up the ladder to see progress

RL: If I wasn’t a builder what would I be… hmm. I think I’d have to be outside as I’m no good when I spend

upstairs but froze half way up and got stuck. I was requested to help get her down.
