Convent bell tower makes the move

Before workers on the “lift” crew canmove the old convent bell tower, they first have to re-check the interior braces and assemble a number of heavy pallet beams, Jenga-style, to provide a strong and sturdy rest site for the immense ornamental building piece.

Maneuvering the widow’s walk roof cap of the convent bell tower cupola is not a simple matter. Lift crewmembers both inside and outside of the cupola had to provide directions to the crane operator to make sure the roof cap resettled into its proper position.
