NRG: Relieving Neck Pain

STAFF SPOTLIGHT

Heather graduated from the University of Manitoba in 2015 with a degree in Kinesiology through the Athletic Therapy stream. During her schooling she gained knowledge working in many clinics, as well as with various sport teams including hockey, track and field, and volleyball. She became a certified Athletic Therapist in 2016. Within that year, she also completed a course to make her a certified cupping therapist. Her motto in the clinic is “Movement isTherapy” and she uses this to drive her treatments. With a specialization in muscles, bones, and joints, Heather is passionate about therapy and her role at NRG Athletes Therapy Fitness. From weekend warrior to elite athlete, acute sprains and strains to chronic aches and pains she prides herself on focusing on your goals for a rapid and safe return to work and play. Growing up in an active and athletic household was what drove Heather to pursue her career in AthleticTherapy. Growing up playing any sport she could get her hands on, she understands the drive to be your best – and more importantly – feel your best. In her free time, Heather still enjoys being active, especially anything that takes her outside. HEATHER NORMAND, CAT(C)

I started seeing her about 2 months ago for my sciatica problem and was pleasantly surprised by how quickly I saw improvements in my range of motion, pain levels and general ability to do more. Heather is not only very knowledgeable and clearly competent in her field, but she’s also personable and has a very caring approach with her clients; making therapy sessions that much more enjoyable. Thanks for the fantastic care, Heather!” Pleasantly surprised by howquickly I saw improvements!
