LAWRENCEVILLE-DULUTH (GA) ALUMNI CHAPTER LDAC Family Fun Day and Back-to-School Event: Over 550 Backpacks Distributed Lawrenceville, GA – In a display of community spirit and collaboration, the Lawrenceville-Duluth Alumni Chapter, in partnership with the LDAC Foundation and the City of Lawrenceville, hosted a successful back-to-school event on the picturesque Lawrenceville Lawn. The gathering, aimed to provide local students with essential school supplies. With an impressive turnout, Brothers successfully distributed over 550 backpacks filled with crucial school supplies, ensuring that children in the area are well-prepared for the upcoming academic year. Families arrived early to take advantage of the free backpacks, which included items like notebooks, pens, pencils, and other essentials designed to make the transition back to school smoother for students of all ages. The atmosphere on the Lawrenceville Lawn was vibrant and festive, with vendors setting up tents around the perimeter, creating a lively marketplace for attendees. The event featured a variety of attractions and activities designed to entertain and engage the community, including: • Face Painting: Children enjoyed transforming into their favorite characters and animals with the help of skilled face painters, adding an artistic flair to the event. •

Lawn Games & Giant Inflatables: Families participated in classic lawn games, fostering friendly competition and camaraderie among attendees. • The Children's Train (Back by Popular Demand): Youngsters hopped aboard the children's train, which made its rounds on the lawn, delighting kids and parents alike. • Food Trucks & Vendors: Attendees indulged in a variety of delicious options from local food trucks and vendors, offering everything from tasty snacks to hearty meals. • Live Singing and DJ: The festive atmosphere was enhanced by live performances and a Chapter Brother (Leonardo Tyler) DJ spinning popular tunes, keeping spirits high and encouraging everyone to dance and enjoy the day. The event not only provided essential supplies but also served as a vital platform for community engagement from the Chapter. As families left Lawrenceville Lawn, many expressed their appreciation for the resources and experiences offered at the event. Parents and children alike enjoyed the sense of unity and joy that filled the air, reinforcing the idea that the brothers of the Lawrenceville-Duluth Alumni Chapter, The LDAC Foundation, and the Gwinnett County community stand together in support of its youth.

LDAC Golf Classic Dacula, GA – The 11th Annual Golf Classic, held on August 2, 2024, at the scenic Trophy Club Apalachee Golf Course, proved to be a resounding success under the leadership of Chairman Bro. Clarence Kegler. The sold-out event drew a passionate crowd of golf enthusiasts eager to participate in a day of friendly competition while supporting a noble cause: providing scholarships for students in Gwinnett County. As registrants arrived at the beautifully manicured course, they were greeted with thoughtfully curated swag bags filled with valuable goodies and information about the day’s events. The morning kicked off with a delicious breakfast, allowing participants to fuel up and participate in a short game clinic with professional golfer, Shasta Averyhard before hitting the greens. The camaraderie among players was palpable, setting a positive tone for the day ahead.

The Golf Classic boasted a stellar lineup of sponsors, including well-known names such as CARVANA, Anteel Premium Tequila, Coca-Cola, and The Atlanta Capitals. Their generous support not only enhanced the event experience but also underscored the community's commitment to education and youth development. The event saw the dedicated involvement of volunteers, including LDAC Chapter Brothers, Kappa League members, and friends and family of the Chapter. Their hard work and enthusiasm ensured everything ran smoothly, from registration to the awards ceremony. Throughout the day, golfers had the opportunity to compete for exciting prizes, ranging from golf gear to local experiences, all while contributing to a worthy cause. The highlight of the event was undoubtedly the chance to participate in a raffle for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity: a chance to make a hole-in-one for an astonishing $1,000,000.
