Undergraduate News

THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH CAROLINA CHAPTER, THE ZETA EPSILON Zeta Epsilon, Inspiring and Striving On September 24, 2024, members of the Zeta Epsilon Chapter held a virtual panel discussion about the opportunity and consequences of voting in this year’s upcoming election. This virtual panel reached over 100 listeners who were all tuned in to hear some wise words from Brother Dwayne Perry, Damien Johnson, Don Calloway, and Antjuan Seawright. The virtual call was moderated by undergraduate brothers, Travis Shuler and Justin Jordan, who both did an amazing job assuring the popular questions were asked and the call remained on track. Brothers Getting Service Done On October 4, 2024, brothers had the opportunity to participate in the James R. Clark Memorial Sickle Cell walk. These brothers helped set up before the event by putting out chairs and setting up water stations, then they took to the roads to spread awareness about the seriousness of Sickle Cell disease, especially in the black community. What’s Next for ZE? On October 24, 2024, in honor of domestic violence awareness month, ZE brothers will be hosting a Domestic Violence panel in the Russell House theater on campus. This event will feature Tri County Casa who are the panelists for the event. Brothers will be all across campus tabling and encouraging student life to join them this day to hear about the importance of recognizing traits of a domestic relationship, as well as how to seek assistance if you’re involved in one.
