It’s fun to play in water, whether at a pool, beach, lake, river, or water park, but it is important to know your limits and stay safe. Remember, drowning can occur in less than two minutes. Never go in the water alone. Always be sure an adult who can swim is watching you. Do not depend on in atable toys or water wings to keep your head above water. Dive only from a diving board, not the side of the pool. Don’t crawl or walk on a pool cover. Stay in the shallow end of the pool if you are not a strong swimmer.
