Security and Emergency Planning – Campus Services. Our business is the safety and security of our people, assets, and operations enabling the University mission of “making important things happen” Our team operates every day around the clock to ensure our campus is safe and secure. The University has many characteristics of a small town with 43,000 people studying, researching, socialising, and working. Our Birmingham Campus is open and accessible whenever our people need it, with our Security teams working behind the scenes to make this a safe and enjoyable environment. Personal safety is at the core of our business planning. We will work proactively with our key stakeholders to ensure we are “match fit” and prepared for any threat or emergency that may cause potential disruption to our services. The recent pandemic has tested our process and procedures and highlighted how we can continue to improve. Business resilience is critical to our continued success.
