• Develop and implement a training programme for key stakeholders involved in the delivery of the BCRM and EP programmes and ensure awareness campaigns are in place to ensure staff are kept up to date with plans, legislation and threat levels.

Analysis, Reporting and Documentation • Lead, review and ensure a good practice Business Continuity Resiliance Management (BCRM) programme for Campus Services, which identifies and underpins the key dependencies that support these activities, ensuring the recovery and continuity of these activities are within timescales that do not expose the University to an unacceptable level of operational, financial, regulatory or reputational risk. • Project manage resources efficiently and effectively, and ensure documentation and data is accurate. • Review and audit progress on data and projects to improve effectiveness, efficiency and deliverables against key milestones and updated external advice. • Monitor and report on incidents affecting business continuity and resiliance across Campus Services and the University to the Director of Campus Services. • Provide expertise to ensure that all departments of Campus Services have robust incident and recovery plans that are subject to regular testing. Support the rest of University in delivering the same through advising relevant areas. Customer Support, Liaison, and Collaboration • Liaise internally with stakeholders across Campus Services and the University providing advice, direction and instruction in relation to their areas of business operations. • Develop and deliver effective communications around changes to latest policy guidelines/ process changes to key stakeholders and team members. • Take responsibility for stakeholder management, maintaining regular contact with stakeholders to understand requirements, and review, develop and propose solutions for any issues. • Set up a network of Service Continuity Representatives and Emergency Planning (EP) within departments in order to develop effective working relationships and to ensure plans are developed, fit for purpose, and kept updated. • Lead the BCRM meetings, ensuring that the BCRM programme is in line with institutional objectives and strategy. Implement and lead in the associated steering groups/working parties needed for the programme.

• Represent the HSEP at an institutional level when unavailable

• Support the HSEP in progressing a modern fit for purpose service. Decision Making, Problem Solving, Planning and Organising • Utilise the Centre for the protection of National Infrastructure (CPNI) guidance to build a clear picture on Threat Landscape to the University. • Perform risk analyses for functions to identify points of vulnerability, single points of failure and identify risk avoidance and mitigation strategies. • Analyse these threats, provide advice and ensure procedures are in place to minimise the impact of risks to the Campus Services. • Take responsibility for resolving issues independently and identify alternative methods of recovery following an incident or crisis. • Make decisions related to BCRM and EP management in order to advise stakeholders and external members in an incident or crisis. • Influence BCRM and crisis management policy through advising senior management on BC policy change and its impact across the University and Campus Services. • Lead and support on policy and process development for BC and major incidents in Campus Services. • Plan and lead effective audits, testing and exercises on emergency preparedness to ensure plans are up to date and relevant.

• In the absence of HSEP run the service effectively.

Other • Promotes equality and values diversity acting as a role model and fostering an inclusive working culture. Role models collaborative working and represents Campus Services in both internal and external meetings. Provide coaching, mentoring, or line management support as required.
