Skills and Experience Essential • Business continuity experience and/or willingness to gain ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management certification. • Proven experience of resilience management in a front-line service, preferably based within Higher Education (HE). • Project management experience and/or willingness to gain a formal qualification. • Relevant/proven professional experience in a complex organisation, preferably HE. • Highly developed skills and experience of producing and analysing complex source material, information and data and turning these into purposeful reports that assist decision making. • Demonstrable experience of managing a range of operational planning scenarios and projects. • Experience of developing effective networks and strong relationships with Colleagues across Professional Services and Colleges, and external partners. • Excellent oral communication and presentation skills, with an ability to use a range of communication skills and strategies to gain commitment to action or change. Proven ability to lead learning and training events. • The ability to exercise discretion regarding the handling and management of sensitive data/ information. • An ability to work simultaneously and effectively to progress several different tasks. Demonstrable experience of managing a range of activity and projects. • Excellent organisation skills with ability to appropriately manage and consider the priority of information coming through. Excellent attention to detail. • Strong intellectual ability and the ability to apply this to management tasks.

Person Specification

Knowledge Essential • A good first degree (First or Upper Second) or equivalent. • Knowledge of the work practices, policies, processes and procedures relevant to the role, including broader sector/ commercial awareness and ability to develop policy in a University setting. Desirable • Knowledge of Security operations and services.
