“Birth Ready” Designations in New Orleans The Louisiana “Birth Ready” designation is a state recogni- tion for hospitals
that meet high standards for safe, evidence-based maternity care. Launched by the Louisiana Department of Health and the Louisiana Perinatal Quality Collaborative, hospitals qualify through a rigorous review process focused on clinical practices, staff training, and patient-centered care.
