Days 8-9: Nuwara Eliya Leaving Kandy early, embark on a spectacular drive through the countryside on the way to Kitulgala. You can walk through the jungle or local villages, followed by an optional white-water rafting excursion. The next morning, enjoy free time to explore the beautiful town of Nuwara Eliya. After lunch, visit a nearby tea plantation and factory. Days 10-11: Yala National Park Depart early and drive south to Horton Plains for a guided walk through the picturesque rolling grasslands. Following this, catch the train to Ella which travels through cloud forest into tea plantations. Continue by road to Kataragama on the plains - your base for visiting the best-known national park in Sri Lanka, Yala. The following morning, continue to Tissamaharama, followed by a game drive in Yala National Park which is home to elephants, leopards, bears, crocodiles, and wild boars. Days 12-13: Ahangama Today, leave for the coast. On the way you’ll visit the Elephant Transit Home in Udawalawe before heading on to Ahangama. The following day is free for you to relax by the pool or on the beach. Day 14: Galle Drive along the coastal road to the historic port of Galle before heading to your hotel in Colombo. Day 15: Colombo - UK Your adventure ends today, and you’ll begin your return journey home.

Day 1: UK - Colombo - Veyangoda On arrival in Colombo, transfer to Veyangoda. Join your fellow travellers for a welcome briefing this evening. Days 2-3: Sigiriya Visit the magnificent Cave Temple in Dambulla. After lunch, continue to Sigiriya. The next morning, enjoy a climb up the impressive Lion’s Rock, followed by an afternoon optional game drive to see elephants. Day 4: Girithale Today, hop on local bikes to see the wildlife and enjoy a leisurely cycle through small villages and lakes. As an alternative to cycling, you can hire a tuk tuk and follow the group on their trail. Days 5-7: Kandy After breakfast, take a short drive to Polonnaruwa, the ancient capital of the Sinhalese. After lunch, head into the hills to the picturesque town of Kandy. The next day, visit the Temple of the Tooth before heading to a beautiful viewpoint over Kandy, overlooked by a huge Buddha. Your final day in Kandy is free to explore at your leisure.
