Day 5: The Ghan Expedition Wake up to the wonders of the Red Centre. Breakfast is served in the Queen Adelaide Restaurant prior to arrival in Alice Springs. Embark on one of the off-train excursions to explore this outback town. Dine in Alice Springs this evening beneath a canopy of stars at an authentic Outback Bush Barbecue. Day 6: The Ghan Expedition After breakfast, arrive in Manguri and disembark for a tour to Coober Pedy, the sun scorched opal mining capital of the world where more than half the residents live underground. Venture into the towns underground tunnels and caves and enjoy a gourmet lunch beneath the earth’s surface. Day 7: The Ghan Expedition See the dramatic change in the landscape this morning as the rich ochre tones of the outback change to the beautiful green fields and pastoral lands of South Australia. Day 8: Adelaide Today you will travel to the world-renowned Barossa wine region. Enjoy the change of scenery as you make your way into the vineyards of South Australia’s premium wine region. You will enjoy a day of wine tasting at some of the areas most renowned and award-winning cellar doors. Day 9: Adelaide Spend a leisurely day in Adelaide, beginning with a peaceful morning walk through the Adelaide Botanic Garden, where you can explore stunning landscapes and intricate glasshouses. Day 10: Adelaide - UK Fly back home to the UK after a wonderous holiday and a camera roll full of memories.
