Kimberly Buschkoetter has devoted more than 30 years to advancing the mission of Goodwill Industries of Greater Nebraska, where she currently serves as Vice President of Compliance and Training. A resident of Kearney since 1987, Kim earned both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Education from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and considers herself fortunate to live and work in such a supportive community. Throughout her career, Kim has championed professional excellence and community engagement. She completed the Goodwill International Senior Leadership Program and was selected as a Goodwill Opportunity Accelerator Fellow. At Goodwill, she leads leadership-training initiatives, oversees organizational compliance, facilitates trauma- informed care and diversity workgroups, and volunteers at nearly every agency event.

Kim’s passion for service extends far beyond her professional role. She has been active in school associations, workforce initiatives, and church ministries, and she has contributed to workgroups addressing disability inclusion, reentry from incarceration, homelessness, poverty, and child advocacy. She is also an enthusiastic supporter of the UNK Lopers football team. As a mentor, Kim is known for her empathy, motivational interviewing skills, and ability to resolve conflicts with grace. Many colleagues credit her guidance for their professional growth—including one mentee who recently advanced to Vice President of Mission Services. Kim’s unwavering dedication, leadership, and heart for others make her an inspiring force within both Goodwill and the greater Kearney community.
Dr. Melissa Herrmann is the Director of Human Resources for Kearney Public Schools (KPS), where she leads with vision, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to students, staff, and the community. Over her distinguished career, she has served as a high school social studies teacher and softball coach, Dean of Students, Assistant Principal at Kearney High School, and Director of 6–12 Education before assuming her current HR role. Her experience at every level of education gives her unique insight into the needs of students and staff. As Director of Human Resources, Dr. Herrmann supports nearly 1,000 employees across one of Kearney’s largest organizations. She oversees recruitment, retention, and accountability, guides annual negotiations, and advocates for competitive salaries, benefits, and staffing. A trusted advisor to the KPS Board of Education and a member of the district leadership team, she is also a mentor, trainer, legal resource, and advocate for employees. Her leadership has helped position KPS as a premier district across Nebraska. She was instrumental in creating the Arram Center, an innovative program supporting students in grades 6–12 who face academic or personal challenges. Her progressive approach to HR and understanding of the vital role schools play in communities drive her work with local agencies to strengthen support for students and families. Beyond district responsibilities, Dr. Herrmann serves as Vice President of the Nebraska Association for School Personnel Administrators and is a sought-after speaker on the teacher shortage and education-related HR practices. She earned her Doctorate in Educational Leadership, underscoring her dedication to lifelong learning and educational excellence. Known for exceptional character, empathy, and work ethic, Dr. Herrmann leads by example, inspiring others to strive for excellence and embodying the values of service, innovation, and integrity that define Kearney Public Schools.
Michelle Morris, PT, DPT, is a partner and owner at GO Physical Therapy, overseeing 20 clinic locations across central and eastern Nebraska, while providing care in hospitals, home health, and schools. Based in Kearney, NE, she manages and treats patients at the GO Physical Therapy clinic in the Medical Building of Good Samaritan Hospital. With more than a decade of experience, Michelle is recognized for excellence in patient care, leadership, and mentorship. She became a partner in January 2024, reflecting her contributions to clinical outcomes and organizational growth. Known for her patient-centered approach, she delivers personalized, effective care while fostering trust and loyalty. As a clinical instructor, Michelle mentors physical therapy students, modeling expertise and professional integrity. She also promotes health through wellness fairs, screenings, and youth sports initiatives. Her intentional, approachable leadership inspires colleagues and students alike.

Michelle is deeply involved in her community: a member of the Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce, volunteer with the Nebraska Senior Games and Chemo Comfort Tote Drive, and supporter of youth sports and events including the YMCA, Turkey Trot, Buffalo County Stampede, and KHS/KCHS fundraisers. Outside of work, Michelle enjoys an active family life with her 11- and 13-year-old sons. Through her care, mentorship, and advocacy, she helps shape the next generation of healthcare leaders—particularly women in physical therapy—leaving a legacy of compassion, excellence, and empowerment.
