● Around 25 talented high-school musicians receive training from the Ravinia Jazz Mentors and regularly perform as the Ravinia Jazz Scholars ensemble at Chicago-area venues. ● The Jazz Mentors also give performances and master classes to 1,200 Chicago Public High School students.
● 500 3rd–12th grade students in 14 Chicago and Lake County public schools participate in intensive, after-school orchestral music education that emphasizes social development and community building in addition to artistic skills.
residents of all ages in Lawndale, an under-resourced community on Chicago’s West Side, take group classes from professional artists at a tuition-free music school led by Ravinia in partnership with the Chicago Park District.
